Our Sustainability Journey
The Guardsman Hotel is committed to proactively work to become more sustainable. With this in mind, we have partnered with mission : net zero and signed up to the Green Tourism certification program to help us on our sustainability journey. The internationally respected accreditation programme of Bronze, Silver and Gold awards are acknowledged worldwide as an indicator of good environmentally-friendly practice and are a great way of progressing on a green journey as well as acting as a hallmark of 'green quality' for our eco minded visitors. We want to act responsibly and for sustainability to become second nature in our day to day operation. Becoming a member of Green Tourism is a brilliant first step to getting greener by focussing on: reducing energy use, saving water, efficient & eco-friendly waste disposal, supporting environmentally focused community projects, promoting team wellbeing & mental health, helping conserve local cultural heritage, ethical buying, staying local & seasonal, promoting biodiversity and more.
