Terms & Conditions


The following defined terms apply to these terms and conditions of The Guardsman Residences.

‘The Hotel’ is a reference to The Guardsman (Company number 326020841) having its registered office at 1 Vandon Street, London SW1H 0AH.

‘The Guest’ is a reference to the person to whom we are providing our Services and who is required to pay for the Services we provide; ‘Booking’ means the booking of any accommodation or other services provided to The Guest by The Hotel.

Reservations will only be considered booked and guaranteed after receipt of deposit which is required at reservations stage.

Received deposits will be refunded after The Guest’s departure, minus any incidental and/or agreed charges. The Guest will be informed of any such charges in writing at the earliest opportunity, in advance of their departure where possible.

Payment of the full accommodation fee will be required 6 weeks prior to the date of arrival the latest. Payments may be made via Bank transfer or credit card.

Please be advised that accommodation may be cancelled in the event that our payment terms are not adhered to.

Should the Guest wish to extend the stay, pre-payment for the full additional accommodation fee is required immediately. The Hotel reserves the right to refuse to extend the stay if pre-payment is not received at the time of notification.

The Hotel treats an early departure or reduction in nights booked as a cancellation and a cancellation charge may apply. Non- arrivals will be treated as a cancellation and no refunds will be guaranteed.

1 – 6 nights | 12 noon 3 days prior to arrival | No refund

7 – 28 nights | 12 noon 7 days prior to arrival | Minimum 7 nights’ charge

Over 29 nights | 12 noon 28 days prior to arrival | Minimum 14 nights’ charge

Unless otherwise agreed guests will have access from 2pm to booked residence on the day of arrival and check-out shall be no later than 11am. Guests can request late check-out after 11am which will be subject to availability and a half daily charge of £XX up to 6pm, a full daily rate will be charged thereafter.

The Hotel accepts the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Debit cards.

For credit card payments please complete the ‘Credit Card Payment’ section on the registration form. A photocopy of the credit card holder’s passport or driving license is also required for credit card payments. On arrival, a pre-authorisation via chip and pin will be required from the same card used to pay for the accommodation charges.

The rates quoted are per residence, per week/night, in pounds sterling and are subject to availability at the time of reservation.

Rates are quoted inclusive of VAT at 20% for all stays up to 28 nights. After 28 consecutive nights, the rate of VAT decreases to 4%.

Any change in the general rate of VAT will be reflected in a change in the rates.

The rate is inclusive of all utilities i.e. gas, electric and rates but The Guest shall be responsible for all other costs i.e. telephone calls or other additional facilities/services made from the residence during their occupancy.

Please note that only the number of guests outlined at booking are authorised to stay in the residence and any additional occupants (excluding infants) may incur a charge for extra bedding or beds. If more guests are staying in the residence than our maximum capacity allows, you will be in breach of our health and safety policy and we reserve the right to refuse accommodation.

Maximum capacity per residence:
One Bedroom residence: 2 people
Two bedroom residence: 4 people
Three bedroom residence: 6 people

All Guests are required to follow The Hotel’s registration procedures which are governed by the Immigration Order 1972. All guests have to provide their full name, nationality, home address as well as details about their next destination. For this purpose the Hotel’s registration form has to be completed by all Guests. Guests from outside the UK and Ireland need to provide the number and place of issue of their passport or identity card and details of their next destination.

However, in the interest of security we may ask all our guests to confirm their identity by providing a passport or identity card at check-in. The Hotel will keep these records for at least 12 months and may make them available for inspection by police or as otherwise required by law.

Guests under the age of 18 may only be registered and checked in to the Hotel only if accompanied by an adult.

The Guest will be charged for any damages caused to the property of The Hotel during the stay or for any extra cleaning costs necessary after the stay.

Visitors can only stay overnight if the number of sleepers in the residence does not exceed the maximum capacity allowed per room according to our health and safety policy.

The Guest is responsible for the conduct of visitors whilst they are at the Hotel at all times including without limitation and for their proper conduct in the hotel’s facilities and that no noise or other disturbance is caused to other hotel guests.

Guests agree, for themselves and their guests or visitors, not to use the Hotel or its Services for any unlawful purpose or in breach of English law or any other law applicable to the use of the Hotel’s Service. Examples of prohibited use include but are not limited to
Commission of any criminal offence including the possession and use of controlled drugs as classified under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and possession and storage of firearms and shotguns in contravention of the Firearms Act of 1968 and 1997.

Installation of recording and surveillance equipment anywhere with The Hotel’s premises.

Filming and/or photographing for the purpose of public use in any are of the hotel without prior written consent.

Commercial photography or filming without The Hotel’s prior written approval.

The use of The Hotel’s intellectual property including trademarks or trade names without the hotel/s consent.

The Guardsman is a non-smoking hotel and smoking is prohibited in all residences, rooms and public areas and this includes use of electronic cigarettes.

The Guardsman is dog-friendly with advance notice and the guest must confirm with the hotel prior to arrival. Charges apply.
